We are a small family-owned enterprise headquartered in Huaraz, renowned as the gateway to Peru’s magnificent adventures. In 2012, Akilpo embarked on its journey as an Adventure Travel Operator, alongside establishing a renowned hostel and guesthouse, founded by the Rosario brothers.

Rooted in authenticity and originality, Akilpo derives its name from Quechua, honoring the essential elements of nature: the mountain, the river, the lake, and the valley. It symbolizes not only our team, but also our resilience, the awe-inspiring landscapes we navigate, and the essence of our Adventure Company.
