ITINERARY
Departing at 6:40 am, we have a 40 minute trip with our private transport to the east of Huaraz, up to Pitec (3,800m), during which we enjoy the picturesque traditional scenes and villages of the surrounding area. The trek starts with an ascent, and even though it’s steep trekking for most of the way, you’ll be rewarded with a lovely route. The lake is at an altitude of 4,450 meters, where you can spend some time walking along the lakeshore. There is enough to enjoy around the lake, also time for a much-needed lunch and siesta – something to energize you for the trek back to Pitec, where our private transport will be waiting to take us back to Huaraz.
