Certainly one of the most spectacular treks that Akilpo offers with views taken taking in Peru’s highest mountain, Nevado Hauscarán (6,768m) surrounded by some of the highest in the Cordillera Blanca like the peaks of the Huandoy Massif, which includes the two Pisco peaks, Nevado Chopicalqui, and the Nevados Chacraraju and Yanapaccha. In addition to that, visiting some of the most well-known lakes in the Cordillera Blanca i.e., Laguna 69 and the lakes of Llanganuco.

Santa Cruz Trek is one of the classic four days treks in Peru. This trek takes you to some of the better-known peaks and lakes around Santa Cruz, Huaripampa, and the Llanganuco Sector of the Cordillera Blanca mountain range. We also pass through some traditional Andean villages. Most of the time, considering the opposite direction, our hike starts from Vaquera village, crossing the second day over the Punta Union high pass, where the rest of the trek gradually descends.
