Physical Fitness Requirement
it is essential to have adequate physical fitness for this hike. We have classified this route as moderately to difficult, involving 6–7 hours of trekking through mountainous terrain and navigating steep, rocky, and slippery paths. We highly recommend arriving well-prepared with a sturdy pair of hiking boots to ensure your safety and enjoyment throughout this challenging yet rewarding journey.
The Route
The roads from Yungay to the lakes of Llanganuco in the Huascarán National Park are dirt roads and some sections of this road might be bumpy in addition to winding sections in the ascent/descent to and from the destination.
Panorma Trekking Trail
The Panorama trek follows a generally marked path; however, it is important to note that certain sections of the trail may be rough and less obvious. This rugged mountain trail includes steep ascents and descents, adding to its challenging nature. In the upper parts of the trail, there is a possibility of encountering snow-covered or slippery terrain. It is highly recommended to take precautionary measures by wearing suitable socks, opting for sturdy boots with ankle support, and considering the use of walking sticks. These preparations will enhance your comfort, especially if the weather conditions become unfavorable during the trek.

Seriously, best tour we have had in the past 5 months. Leonardo is the best guide, so funny and knowledgeable. They had the best food, everything was on time, well communicated and in English. I think this is the best tour you can find in huaraz, you hike through a valley with no one there but you surrounded by crazy mountains. Highly recommend!

Loved this option to make the laguna 69 trek a little more interesting and add in some good views of all the mountains, especially the desired Huascaran. This company is so professional, and the food was delicious! All the guides have very good English, lots of knowledge, and wonderful personalities. I am someone who usually hates tours so it means a lot for me to recommend a tour company and this is one I will definitely be recommending. Thanks!

This is a fabulous day hike. You will arrive at the start point before sunrise and the view is absolutely incredible. Seeing the sun rise over Huascaran, Pisco, and the valley below is absolutely stunning. Taking the alternate route provides amazing views the entire way although the trail itself is slightly more difficult to follow. The guide was amazing, the lunch was really good, and I would recommend this hike to absolutely everyone!
